Devoted father to Amanda, Jonathan, and Elizabeth. Much loved family member and friend. John will be greatly missed by all his family, friends, fellow Chelsea Pensioners and staff at the Royal Hospital Chelsea and colleagues and friends at Westminster Abbey and Salisbury Cathedral. He is much loved and will always be remembered.
God called your name so softly that only you could hear, and no one heard the footsteps of the Angels drawing near.
