Dedicated to the memory of John Anthony Whitfield Denton RIBA

This site is a tribute to John Anthony Whitfield Denton. A retired Architect formerly of Bournemouth, Dorset, latterly a dedicated and enthusiastic Chelsea Pensioner of the the Royal Hospital Chelsea. John passed away peacefully in his sleep on 26th September 2024 at home aged 87 years.

Devoted father to Amanda, Jonathan, and Elizabeth. Much loved family member and friend. John will be greatly missed by all his family, friends, fellow Chelsea Pensioners and staff at the Royal Hospital Chelsea and colleagues and friends at Westminster Abbey and Salisbury Cathedral. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

God called your name so softly that only you could hear, and no one heard the footsteps of the Angels drawing near.

Funeral for John Anthony Whitfield Denton

The service was held in the Sir Christopher Wren Chapel @2pm on Wednesday 30th October. Thank you to all that attended in person and via the live stream broadcast.
